EVOC  Operator

This is a 16 hour course of instruction that meets or exceeds State of Florida, U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) requirements for Emergency Vehicle Operators certification.

Course includes lectures and practical operation exercises that cover the following topics:

1. Legal aspects of emergency vehicle operators.

2. Selecting routes and reporting emergency operation.

3. Defensive Driving

4. Accident Avoidance

5. Vehicle Control

6. Safety Checks and Preventive Maintenance

7. Braking

8. Backing

9. Slalom

10. Steering Techniques

11. Negotiating Turns

Course Tuition: $135


Use the link below to register and pay for your class online. You will receive an emailed receipt. On the Monday or Tuesday before class you will receive an email with the class location, times to report, and any other requirements necessary to complete the course.

The class is a hybrid or blended course. Day 1, which is your classroom or academic portion, is completed online. Day 2, which is the driving practical, will be completed in person on either Saturday or Sunday. The specific day, and you only meet for one day, is provided in the email that you will receive prior to class. We choose the day based on instructor availability.
