Course Overview
Personnel completing this course are qualified to conduct EVOC Operator-level training for ambulances and other similar-size emergency vehicles. The course is based on the U.S. DOT National Standard Curriculum and meets or exceeds recommended guidelines for instructor preparation. Upon successful completion, instructor candidates are awarded certification to deliver EVOC training within their sponsoring organization.

Eligibility & Sponsorship Requirements
Agency Sponsorship Required
Instructor candidates should register using their agency-issued email address whenever possible. Registrations submitted from personal email domains (e.g., Hotmail/Outlook, Gmail/Googlemail, Yahoo, etc.) may be required to provide a sponsorship letter from the employing agency verifying authorization to enroll and confirming the candidate will teach only within the sponsoring organization. Due to liability considerations and common insurance requirements, EVOC Instructor candidates must be sponsored by a licensed EMS provider or Fire Department. This certification is not intended for independent instruction.
Suggested Experience
Operational Experience: A minimum of one full year of ambulance or emergency vehicle operations is required.
Instructor Experience: Prior instructional experience is recommended but not mandatory. These requirements may be waived upon written request from the sponsoring agency.
Host this course at your agency or sponsor a regional training event. Our team can travel to you for as few as 10 students (ideal 18–24).
What the EVOC Instructor Course Includes
Trilogy EMS Instructor Core Course
Builds foundational instructional skills, course delivery structure, documentation expectations, and best practices for consistent training across students, shifts, and training cycles.
EVOC Provider Course
Ensures the instructor candidate completes the full provider-level curriculum to standardize content knowledge and align delivery with the DOT framework.
Online Instructor Credentials
Once registered, complete each section online. Upon successful completion, instructor credentials are issued electronically.
Downloadable Instructor Materials (ZIP)
You will receive access to download a ZIP file containing instructor materials needed to conduct EVOC training, including course delivery resources and supporting documents.
LMS Option for Agencies
Optional Agency Delivery Model
Agencies can optionally utilize the Trilogy EMS EVOC Online Provider Course so students complete didactic requirements online before arriving for the in-person driving practical. This reduces classroom time, increases scheduling flexibility, and improves consistency across multiple instructors, shifts, or locations.
